Meet Dr. Schaefer
Emily J. Schaefer, DDS
At the age of five I surprised my family by telling them that someday I was going to be a dentist and now here I am doing just that. I am passionate about dentistry and joined the healthcare field because I enjoy working with people. To me the most important thing is that you leave my office with a brilliant and healthy smile. I value providing care in a kind, compassionate and trustworthy manner. Your best interests are at my heart and I am absolutely dedicated to providing the best care available.
Education and Continuing Education
- Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry — Alfred University

- Advanced Education in General Dentistry — University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine
I am committed to staying current with the newest improvements in dental care. I am working the mastery curriculum through Spear Education and have also been taking classes through the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Through these courses I have expanded my knowledge and skills regarding esthetics, implantology and sleep apnea. I am also directly involved with two study clubs made up of general dentists and specialists working together to provide their patients with stellar treatments.
In the Office
I believe that your dental care affects your total health. A healthy smile gives people a renewed sense of confidence and well-being. Meeting new people is always exciting to me, and I strive to establish a relationship of trust and friendship with each person who walks through our doors. I like to keep things personal and comfortable, but I am committed to keeping a very high level of professionalism at my office. I will respect your individual rights and am dedicated to being confidential about your treatments and information.
Community Involvement
God has richly blessed me and through community outreach, I can share the gifts I have with others. I am in the Hamburg Sunrise Rotary Club and part of the Buffalo Outreach and Community Service (BOCA) organization. It has allowed me to take six trips to do dental outreach to places like the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Virginia.
Outside the Office
I grew up in Bernhards Bay, NY but happily moved to Buffalo, NY in 2001. I married my true love in 2009 and enjoy many hobbies. I take piano lessons at Buffalo State College and like to spend the winter reading. In the summer I could be outside working in my garden everyday! It is my newest and current favorite hobby. I also do Pilates and attend Bible study at The Chapel at Cross Point.
